Versa Sovereign SASE empowers organizations to establish self-protecting networks

Versa Networks has recently unveiled the Versa Sovereign SASE, a groundbreaking solution that empowers enterprises, governments, and service providers to establish customized networking and security services directly from their own infrastructure in a self-service model. This release comes in response to the increasing demand for enhanced control in the face of evolving data privacy regulations, heightened security threats, and the challenges associated with relying on third-party SaaS infrastructure.

The Versa Sovereign SASE offers a host of advantages, including increased privacy and control, reduced risk of service disruption, and eased regulatory compliance. By enabling organizations to build and manage their SASE environment on their own infrastructure, this solution ensures greater autonomy, data protection, and operational reliability.

This new approach to SASE deployment introduces a third option for utilizing the VersaONE Universal SASE Platform, complementing the existing as-a-service and private delivery models. The Sovereign option, delivered through dedicated gateways in customers’ infrastructure under their control, provides a completely isolated and air-gapped solution for heightened security and flexibility.

According to Andrew Winney, GM and Head of Products, SASE, at Tata Communications Limited, integrating Versa’s Sovereign SASE solution into their network backbone ensures superior user experiences and enhanced manageability for service providers. The VersaONE platform integrates security and networking capabilities into a single software stack, regardless of the chosen deployment model.

Designed for organizations in highly regulated industries or operating critical infrastructure, Versa Sovereign SASE caters to those requiring the highest levels of protection. Over the past two years, this solution has been successfully deployed by organizations in defense, financial services, maritime, energy, and retail industries, showcasing its ability to meet stringent security and compliance requirements.

Moreover, Versa Sovereign SASE is also empowering telcos and managed service providers to modernize their service portfolios by offering tailored networking and security services deployed in their own infrastructure. By leveraging their assets, these providers can reduce operational risks, meet compliance requirements, and enhance their service offerings for customers.

The release of Versa Sovereign SASE is expected to drive market expansion and unlock new use cases, expanding the total available SASE market by up to 30%. This growth is attributed to factors such as improved economics for service providers, extended deployments to mobile assets, and integration with new private mobility network services.

Versa Sovereign SASE is now available as part of the VersaONE Universal SASE Platform, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of networking and security solutions for organizations worldwide.
