OpenAI Launches ‘Daybreak’ Initiative to Fortify Cybersecurity in the Age of AI Threats

In a significant announcement made on social media platform X, Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, revealed a groundbreaking initiative named Daybreak. This project is aimed at enhancing cyber defense measures and ensuring the continuous security of software systems. Altman emphasized the urgency of the initiative, stating, “OpenAI is launching Daybreak, our effort to accelerate cyber defense and continuously secure software. AI is already good and about to get super good at cybersecurity; we’d like to start working with as many companies as possible now to help them continuously secure themselves.” By collaborating with companies, OpenAI seeks to harness the power of artificial intelligence to combat the escalating threats posed by cybercriminals.

The urgency surrounding cybersecurity has escalated due to a notable surge in AI-driven cyber threats.
