Check Point CEO Gil Shwed delivered a keynote speech at the CPX 2024 event in Vienna, emphasizing the increasing ubiquity of AI and the need for a more professional and widespread use of it in work routines. He stressed the importance of demonstrating a deeper understanding of AI and how to effectively incorporate it into daily operations. This call to action comes in response to the growing threat landscape, especially with the rise of ransomware attacks.

The company unveiled a range of new product features and highlighted its commitment to integrating AI across its entire portfolio. With the ever-evolving nature of security threats, Shwed underscored the need for innovative and comprehensive solutions. In response, Check Point introduced an AI-powered cloud cybersecurity platform designed to combat the complex and evolving threat landscape. This platform aims to offer a consolidated, collaborative, and thorough approach to security.

Central to Check Point’s strategy is its Infinity platform, which harnesses the power of cloud-based security intelligence, an advanced automated threat response system, and over 50 AI engines. This comprehensive solution has successfully thwarted over 3 billion attacks on an annual basis. The core services of the Infinity platform include CloudGuard for cloud security, Harmony for workspace protection, and Quantum for network security, collectively providing a unified defense mechanism for organizations.

The highlight of the update is the introduction of Quantum Force, a suite of ten high-performance firewalls tailored to address the security requirements of data centers, network perimeters, educational institutions, and various types of enterprises. Offering up to 1 Tbps of AI-powered threat prevention and boasting a malware blocking rate of up to 99.8, Quantum Force is positioned as an essential component for safeguarding against emerging threats.

In addition to these advancements, Check Point debuted Infinity AI Copilot, an AI assistant in the form of a chatbot that operates as a natural language interface for users to inquire about the company and its operations. The AI Copilot does not only provide information but also recommends potential solutions or actions in response to queries, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.

The CPX 2024 event served as a platform for Check Point to showcase its continued commitment to innovation and the company’s forward-thinking approach to addressing the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape. As organizations continue to grapple with increasingly sophisticated threats, the integration of AI and advanced cybersecurity solutions like those unveiled by Check Point is poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing digital defense strategies. With the spotlight now on AI and its applications, the event provided a glimpse into the future of cybersecurity and the strides being made to keep pace with emerging threats.
