AIFF Complaints Panel Submits Report on Data Leak to Cybercrime Unit

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is currently facing turmoil over the recent leak of confidential data pertaining to its employees. In response to these reports, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the AIFF received a complaint and held a meeting at the Football House on Friday to address the issue.

After thorough deliberations, the committee submitted a report stating that the allegations of breach of confidentiality and IT policies do not fall under the purview of the ICC. However, the committee recommended that the AIFF take swift action against any breaches to protect the rights of its staff.

In response to the situation, the AIFF officially lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Unit of the Delhi Police on May 7. The organization has pledged full cooperation with the authorities and expressed optimism about a positive outcome once the investigation is concluded.

Acting Secretary General M Satyanarayan emphasized the AIFF’s commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of its staff, stating, “We are fully committed to upholding the integrity and confidentiality of all our staff members who we keep in high regard. In light of the complaint received, we are doing everything to take things to a logical conclusion.”

Furthermore, the AIFF has sought the assistance of the Cyber Crime Unit of the Delhi Police, who have provided assurance of support in resolving the issue promptly.

In their response to the matter, the AIFF has stressed the importance of safeguarding the rights and privacy of their employees. They have reiterated their dedication to addressing the issue at hand and ensuring a fair resolution.
