Cato Networks, a global technology group, has recently announced a strategic partnership with e& (etisalat and) during the International Telecoms Week (ITW) in the United States. This partnership includes the establishment of a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) within e&’s SmartHub data center in Fujairah, UAE. This collaboration is set to provide Cato’s enterprise customers with enhanced interconnectivity and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technology.

The integration into e&’s SmartHub will allow Cato’s customers to benefit from reduced latency, superior connectivity performance, and optimized global communications and data transfer efficiency. The SmartHub data center offers an extensive ecosystem with access to interconnected communities, providing a broad reach to international markets for Cato’s customers.

By leveraging the state-of-the-art infrastructure and strategic location of SmartHub, Cato is reaffirming its commitment to delivering cutting-edge SASE solutions to businesses. Kanwar Loyal, VP for Northern Europe & MEA, emphasized the importance of cloud-native platforms in meeting the evolving needs of modern enterprises. The SmartHub data center, located in Fujairah, connects the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, serving as an ICT bridge between continents and offering a community-based ecosystem with reliable caching servers and edge nodes.

Data center security is a critical aspect of SmartHub, with certifications such as Uptime Institute TIER III, ISO/IEC 22301, and ISO/IEC 27001 validating its high standard of service delivery and ability to safeguard customers’ valuable assets. The facility in Abu Dhabi has received ESTIDAMA Pearl Rating of 4 and USGBC LEED Gold Certification for sustainable operations and adherence to environmental standards.

As part of its green initiatives, e& is working towards deploying efficient and sustainable systems in SmartHub Data Centers to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2030. This commitment to sustainability aligns with the global trend towards environmentally friendly practices in data center operations.

Overall, the partnership between Cato Networks and e& represents a significant step towards providing enterprises with secure and efficient digital services in an increasingly interconnected world.
