CyberSmart, a leading provider of complete cyber confidence to UK SMEs, has recently announced its partnership with Australian technology distributor, HAT Distribution. This collaboration aims to offer businesses in Australia fast and hassle-free Essential Eight assessment and year-round assurance.

CyberSmart stands out as the world’s first complete SME solution, providing all-in-one cybersecurity monitoring, optimization, and training to defend against cyber threats effectively. The platform’s user-friendly interface, simplified progression framework, year-round protection, and unlimited support make implementing Essential Eight controls easier for Australian businesses.

With cybercrime on the rise in Australia, as evidenced by the staggering 94,000 incidents reported in 2023 alone, completing Essential Eight is not just advantageous but crucial in certain industries. CyberSmart’s solutions are designed to help businesses effectively implement these strategies to attain and maintain a government-approved standard of cybersecurity, ultimately reducing cyber risk.

The platform caters to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and SMEs, acknowledging their critical role in the economy while understanding the challenges they face in maintaining robust cyber defenses due to limited resources and expertise. Through CyberSmart, MSPs can enhance their service offerings by providing comprehensive and cost-effective solutions to their clients, while SMBs can access straightforward Essential Eight assessment without requiring extensive resources.

Australian SMEs will also benefit from CyberSmart Active Protect, a powerful on-device agent that delivers comprehensive endpoint monitoring, risk management, policy enforcement, and cybersecurity awareness training. Active Protect regularly monitors and reports a device’s security status, identifying vulnerabilities and providing step-by-step guidance on resolving them.

Jamie Ahktar, CEO of CyberSmart, expressed enthusiasm for expanding into the Australian market through the partnership with HAT Distribution. He emphasized the global nature of cybercrime and the importance of offering complete cyber confidence to SMBs across different geographies. With almost half of Australians experiencing cybercrime in 2023, CyberSmart aims to limit the success and impact of such incidents by providing comprehensive protection in the Australian market.

Josh Gammer, General Manager of HAT Distribution, highlighted the partnership’s significance in helping more Australian businesses comply with the government-endorsed Essential Eight framework. He emphasized that even smaller players gain access to assessment tools through CyberSmart, while MSPs can guide their clients toward stronger cyber defenses.

In conclusion, the partnership between CyberSmart and HAT Distribution signifies a significant step towards enhancing cybersecurity measures for Australian businesses. By offering comprehensive solutions, training, and support, the collaboration aims to equip organizations with the tools and knowledge needed to combat cyber threats effectively and ensure a secure digital environment.
