First Accredited Companies Named by Dubai Cyber Force

Eight companies have recently achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first accredited cybersecurity service providers to participate in the “Dubai Cyber Force” initiative. The companies include Crowe Indonesia Teknologi, FORTBRIDGE, Grant Thornton Consulting CJSC, ITSEC Services Asia, LRQA Nettitude, Precursor Security, Ruptura InfoSecurity, and ValueMentor, according to CREST, an international nonprofit representing the global cybersecurity industry that collaborated with Dubai’s Electronic Security Center (DESC) to establish the initiative.

The accreditation achieved by these companies will now allow them to officially register as cybersecurity service providers to the Dubai government, semi-government, and critical information infrastructure. The initiative, which was announced in March and is a collaborative effort between CREST and DESC, aims to elevate the standard of cybersecurity services to enhance the overall digital security of Dubai. It also seeks to position Dubai as the safest city in the digital space by creating an internationally recognized reference in cyber defense.

Initially, the program will focus on providing penetration testing and incident response services, with the potential for expansion into other areas of cybersecurity. Amer Sharaf, the CEO of the Cybersecurity Systems and Services Sector at the DESC, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating that it aligns with Dubai’s cybersecurity strategy and combines the latest global measures with the city’s specificities and leadership in innovation and integration.

The involvement of these companies in the “Dubai Cyber Force” initiative marks a significant step forward in enhancing the cybersecurity landscape of Dubai. As the first accredited service providers, they are now poised to play a crucial role in safeguarding the digital infrastructure of the city and ensuring the effective protection of sensitive information and critical systems.

The collaboration between CREST and DESC underscores the importance of international partnerships in addressing the evolving challenges of cybersecurity. By working together, organizations from different sectors and regions can leverage their expertise and resources to establish robust defense mechanisms against cyber threats.

The involvement of reputable cybersecurity companies in the “Dubai Cyber Force” initiative not only enhances the credibility of the program but also signals a growing recognition of the importance of cybersecurity in the digital age. As businesses, governments, and individuals continue to rely on digital technologies, the need for robust cybersecurity measures becomes increasingly critical. The accreditation of these companies is a testament to their commitment to upholding the highest standards of cybersecurity and contributing to the overall security and resilience of Dubai’s digital ecosystem.

Furthermore, the alignment of the initiative with Dubai’s cybersecurity strategy reflects the city’s proactive approach to addressing emerging threats in the digital environment. By incorporating the latest global measures while considering Dubai’s unique characteristics and commitment to innovation, the “Dubai Cyber Force” initiative is well-positioned to set a new benchmark for cybersecurity excellence.

In conclusion, the accreditation of eight cybersecurity service providers to the “Dubai Cyber Force” initiative signals a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance the digital security of Dubai. As these companies prepare to contribute their expertise to protect the city’s critical infrastructure, their participation underscores the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s interconnected world. With the ongoing collaboration between international organizations and local authorities, Dubai is poised to strengthen its position as a global leader in cybersecurity and digital innovation.
