Proofpoint, the email and data security vendor, has recently announced a series of updates designed to enhance opportunities for channel partners. These updates span partner services, data protection, and AI security capabilities, all aimed at broadening the company’s channel offerings. Proofpoint’s Channel Chief, Joe Sykora, shared details about these updates during the recent Protect conference held in New York.

The updates unveiled at the conference showcase Proofpoint’s evolution beyond its origins as an email security provider. Sykora emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding its solutions and services to cater to the changing landscape of cybersecurity. One of the key announcements at the event was the introduction of the certified delivery partner program. Notably, cybersecurity giant Optiv is the inaugural partner for this program, allowing partners to deploy and offer services around Proofpoint’s core product.

Optiv’s Senior Vice President, Jim Lepine, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating that it enhances their ability to support clients in their cybersecurity initiatives. The addition of human-centric and data-centric components through Proofpoint’s services offers a new realm of opportunities for Optiv and its clients.

Moreover, Proofpoint introduced enhanced correlation capabilities across security events, consolidating them into a centralized platform. The company also unveiled AI-driven features such as “intent-aware” protection for GenAI usage and redaction of risky prompts, demonstrating a forward-looking approach to cybersecurity.

The integration of Proofpoint’s offerings with CyberArk’s secure browser further enhances data protection measures, combining privileged access management and identity management components. These integrations align with the industry’s shift towards comprehensive security solutions that address the evolving threat landscape.

Partners and customers can expect seamless integration of data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities within Proofpoint’s suite, positioning the company as a leader in email security and data protection. Lepine emphasized the importance of these integrated solutions in meeting clients’ critical security needs effectively.

Additionally, the Protect conference featured a dedicated partner track for the first time, attracting a significant increase in partner attendance. The upcoming Protect events in London, Chicago, and Austin, Texas, signal Proofpoint’s commitment to engaging with partners globally and fostering collaboration in the cybersecurity ecosystem.

Overall, Proofpoint’s latest updates and strategic partnerships underscore its dedication to empowering channel partners and enhancing cybersecurity offerings for a rapidly evolving digital landscape. The company’s proactive approach to innovation and collaboration bodes well for its continued growth and success in the cybersecurity market.
