Generative AI has taken the world by storm, catching many by surprise with its rapid development and impact on various industries. However, businesses can prepare themselves for the next phase of this technology by acquiring the necessary skills, implementing the right architecture, and designing their operations accordingly.

Bridging the gap between IT professionals, digital experts, and tech innovators, DTX + UCX Europe 2023 aims to unite top professionals in the UK on October 4-5. With 18 different content stages, the program provides a roadmap for IT leaders and their teams to navigate the AI-dominated landscape, both in terms of opportunities and risks.

The event will feature interactive panels, case studies, and fireside chats with leaders from prominent organizations such as TikTok, M&S, Lloyds, DWP, Tesco, DreamWorks, and Gousto. In addition, notable speakers like Baroness Martha Lane Fox, founder of Lastminute.com; Dara Ó Briain, comedian and TV presenter; Jenny Radcliffe, renowned social engineer and “people hacker”; and Kelsey Hightower, former distinguished engineer at Google Cloud, will take the stage to share their insights.

The conference offers a sneak peek into some of the exciting sessions attendees can expect. One panel will explore how organizations can change the digital narrative from a cost-centered approach to becoming value-creators. This session will feature leading brands like ITV, Meta, PWC, and The British Army.

Another highly anticipated session titled “Reality Check” will bring together Gina Gill, CDIO of the Ministry of Justice, and Jon Townsend, CIO of the National Trust, to discuss the steps organizations can take today to prepare for a more intelligent and immersive future. Hannah Fry, a professor at UCL, will also take the stage to analyze future technological advancements.

Other sessions will include presentations by industry experts such as Angela De Wet Johnson, Head of Engineering for Commercial and Institutional Banking at Natwest, who will discuss modernizing IT to meet evolving customer expectations. Dinesh Krishnan, Global Head of Enterprise Architecture at Astrazeneca, and Jeffrey Wood, Deputy Director at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, will share best practices in sourcing, integrating, and driving value from technology platforms and partnerships.

In addition to presentations, real-life case studies will take place across breakout stages. E.ON will provide tips and tricks for operationalizing IT in the Cloud, while Deep Green will delve into how data centers are saving UK swimming pools. Norwegian Customs will explore the ethics of social engineering, and Pen Test Partners will present a cinematic demonstration on the misconceptions of plane hacking in movies.

The conference will also offer sessions on long-term customer retention strategies and the role of technology in customer experience, with representatives from companies like L’Oreal and Experian sharing their insights. Furthermore, Great Ormond Street Hospital’s DRIVE Technical Lead will present a case study on innovation in clinical informatics, and there will be a debate on monoliths versus microservices for cost-optimized architecture featuring AWS and a former GCP engineer.

In addition to the rich content, DTX + UCX has partnered with Every Child Online for 2023. This charity refurbishes old laptops and PCs and supplies them to schools in deprived areas and charitable organizations, supporting children and disadvantaged young people.

The full lineup and event agenda are available on the DTX Europe and UC EXPO websites. To participate in this exciting event, mark your calendars for October 4-5 and register online. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay ahead in the fast-paced world of generative AI.
