Alwar Police Take Action Against Cybercrime: Over 2,400 Mobile Numbers Blocked | Jaipur News

In a significant move to crack down on cyberfraudsters, the police in Alwar district blocked a total of 2,469 mobile phone numbers and IMEI numbers on Saturday. This action was taken by the cyber cell of the district police under the guidance of Alwar SP Sanjeev Nain, who stated that these efforts are part of a larger initiative to combat cyberfraud in the region.

According to Nain, the majority of the blocked mobile phone numbers and IMEI numbers were traced back to other states. In order to effectively block these numbers, the cooperation of telecom service providers was crucial. Moving forward, Nain emphasized that further actions will be taken in coordination with banks, SIM card issuers, and other relevant companies to ensure that cyberfraud activities are curtailed.

The district police are actively engaged in a campaign in Mewat to tackle cybercrime activities in the area. Any individuals found to be involved in such fraudulent activities are promptly identified, and legal actions are initiated against them. Additionally, the cyber cell is focusing on educating individuals who distribute SIM cards about the importance of linking them with Aadhaar cards and advising SIM card holders on the responsible use of their devices to prevent misuse.

Nain highlighted the constant monitoring of mobile phones and SIM cards entering the region from other states as a proactive measure to prevent cyberfraud. This strict vigilance aims to detect and deter any potential fraudulent activities carried out through these devices. The cyber cell is committed to staying ahead of cyberfraudsters and ensuring the safety and security of digital transactions in the district.

The collaboration between the district police, telecom service providers, and other relevant agencies underscores the collective effort to combat cyberfraud effectively. By blocking a substantial number of mobile phone numbers and IMEI numbers linked to fraudulent activities, the authorities are sending a strong message to cybercriminals that such actions will not be tolerated.

As the cyber landscape continues to evolve, it is imperative for law enforcement agencies to stay vigilant and proactive in addressing cybercrime challenges. The swift actions taken by the Alwar district police demonstrate their commitment to protecting residents from the threats posed by cyberfraudsters. With ongoing efforts to educate and empower the community against cybercrime, the authorities are working towards creating a safer digital environment for all.
